EACH AND EVERY PERSON HAS TO SAVE ONE LITRE WATER EVERY DAY – AVINASH RAI KHANNA

July 19, 2019: Renowned personalities, teachers and students participated in Save Water seminar on July 17, 2019 which was held at Sahibzada Ajit Singh Academy, Rupnagar. Mr. Avinash Rai Khanna (Vice Chairman of Indian Red Cross Society and National vice President of Bharatiya Janata Party) and his wife Mrs. Meenakshi Khanna were the chief guest of the seminar.

Many teachers and students presented their views to save ground water. Mr. Avinash Rai Khanna guided the students how they have to save water because life is impossible without it. It is our duty to preserve clean and drinkable water for our forthcoming generation. If we do not do this, then there will be third world war for water. Moreover, he guided the students that if each and every person save one litre of water in a day then we can save 130 crore litre every day. He took promise from teachers and students that they would save water and inform him about the water saving activities in future.

In addition to this, Mr. Avinash Rai Khanna asked Mr. Rajan Chopra, Principal of Sahibzada Ajit Singh Academy, Rupnagar to make groups of the students on Save Water, Save Electricity, Clean India, Save Environment, Drug de-addiction. He further added that he would come time to time to take report of the activities being done in this regard.

In the end, Mr. Sukhjinder Singh, Director Sahibzada Ajit Singh Academy, Rupnagar gave vote of thanks to the chief guest, all the renowned personalities, teachers and students. Furthermore, he introduced about the works being done in the academy to save environment.
