Admission Procedures

1. Admission is open for Nursery to Grade Eleven (excluding Board Classes).

2. Children are to be Registered for admission anytime between early December to early March with payment of Rs. 800/- (non-refundable Entrance Test Fee cum Registration Fee) Registration-cum-Admission Application Form is attached with the copy of the Prospectus, Book of Rules & Regulations and Medical Card which is available from the Academy office on cash payment of Rs. 810/- or by post on payment of Rs. 860/- (Submitting the Bank Draft in favour of Sahibzada Ajit Singh Academy, payable at Roopnagar).

3. Parents will have to arrange to produce their ward for Written Test/Personal Interview, necessarily on the date and time fixed by the Admission Cell at the Academy.

4. Admission is subject to clearing/qualifying of Admission Test/Interview.

5. Parents of the selected child will be required to report at the Academy Office to deliver the child at Academy Campus on specific date & time along with the items & documents, required from the parents/guardians.

1. Original School Leaving Certificate.

2. Date of Birth Certificate issued by Municipal Council/Hospital/Appropriate Authority accepted by Govt. of India (Two attested Photostat copies are to be submitted.).

3. Copy of Detail Marks Card of last examination passed.

4. Copy of valid Passport and Resident-Permit in respect of Foreign and NRI students.

5. Three copies of latest passport size coloured photographs of the student, two passport size photographs of parents and three separate PP Size photographs of the Authorized guardians/visitors.

6. Written Special information about disabilities of the child (if, any) health of the child i.e. detailing the Chronic diseases (if any), allergies etc.

7. A valid character certificate from the school last attended (for students of VII onward).

8. Medical Report Card (with complete detail of the vaccination for T.T., M.M.R. & Chicken-pox etc.) given with the prospectus (duly filled by the family doctor not less the rank of M.B.B.S).

Note: These Certificates/Documents are to be handed over to the Admissions Manager, against Authorised Receipt.

PAYMENT INSTRUCTIONS

The detail of fee and funds (standard-wise) is available in the Admission Cell of the Academy and can be availed on request.

PAYMENT INSTRUCTIONS

1. Parents of the child selected for the admission will be required to deposit fee and funds on the same date, (however, it can be extended for 2 working days) to finalise the admission: Failing which the selection for admission would stand cancelled. Part payment of the fee is not allowed, in case. However, the parents of boarding students having some genuine reason may apply to the Management to deposit the fee and funds in instalments which in anyway should not be more than two.

2. If, in some particular case Academy allows the payment of fee & funds in two installments then the first installment of 60% of the total amount is to be deposited on the day of admission and rest of the amount i.e. 40% is to be deposited by or before 31st August of the same Academic Session. For the payment of second installment no reminder is sent by the Academy rather parents have to deposit the fee on the prescribed date and time. Non-depositing of second installment in time causes a fine of Rs. 100/- per day which is upto seven days only, afterwards the name of the student may be struck off from the Rolls of the Academy. In such a case the Parents of such a student will have to apply for re-admission while depositing full fee and funds of the running session. No application in regard to enhancement of the time and date to deposit the second installment is entertained.

3. IF A STUDENT DISCONTINUES AFTER DUE ADMISSION AND DEPOSIT OF ALL FEE AND FUNDS, THEN THERE IS NO PROVISION OF REFUND OF FEE OR MAKING ADJUSTMENT OF SUCH A DEPOSITED FEE WITH SOME OTHER STUDENT.

4. The fee is to be deposited by Cash or Demand Draft (in case by Demand Draft then it should be in the name of Sahibzada Ajit Singh Academy, payable at Roopnagar). Only Local Cheques or Cheques payable/cleared at Roopnagar, are accepted. If any Cheque gets dishonoured then the legal action would be taken against the person who issued the cheque along with charging for the Bank Charges and fine of Rs. 2000/-.

5. In case a student who has deposited 60% of the fee and funds and discontinues with the Academy, in between, then no request for School Leaving Certificate is entertained unless and until the required Fee & Funds that include second installment also, is deposited.

6. There would be approx. 8% increase in overall fee structure every year.

7. If the parents deposit the fee & funds less than the amount due on the prescribed date, the fine of Rs. 100/- per day is applicable up to the date of making the final payment.

IMPORTANT NOTE: FEE & FUNDS ONCE DEPOSITED ARE NOT REFUNDABLE OR ADJUSTABLE IN ANY CASE.

Admission to +1 is subject to passing the entrance test and is carried on Provisional basis. The student after qualifying the test and the interview deposit 60% of the prevailing fee and funds of the session, both in case of day-scholars and boarders. (The parents are at liberty to deposit full fee and funds in one time (instead of 60%) but in case of failure of their ward in Tenth class would be getting refund from the 60% of the total amount). If a student fails in his/her respective 10th class board examination then the admission to +1 is discontinued and in such case he/she is refunded the fee and funds deposited with the Academy after deducting the genuine expenditure incurred on the studies, loading and boarding at the Academy. If a student passes his/her 10th class board examination but wishes to discontinue at the Academy, no request for refund of fee and funds is entertained.

The parents are at liberty to make the advance admission of their ward to avoid the non-availability of the seat.
